It's time for Flu Shots!
The physicians of Mendakota Pediatrics strongly encourage you to get your children immunized against this year's strains of the Influenza virus.
Babies 6 months and older may get the influenza vaccine but will require a booster vaccine one month after the initial vaccine. Once your child has had the 2 doses of influenza vaccine, it becomes just a yearly vaccination.
We have Flumist (no pain and a quick immune response) for children over the age of 2 as well as the Flu shot. Both are equally effective and endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control.
